In a very short time, Rushhi Entertainment has risen to the top of the emerging ethnic events industry. With the inaugural Heritage India Festival in spring 2002 in partnership with Zee TV, the Zee International Bhangra Championship in fall 2002, Rushhi Entertainment established its identity as a forward-thinking and quality-focused corporation.
This success translated to multiple festivals over many weeks every year in different cities across the United States, including sold-out Zee International Bhangra Championships in New York in 2003 and 2004. Both events drew rave reviews and awards from the press, government agencies, sponsors, exhibitors, and coverage in over two dozen media outlets. These events also helped Rushhi gain access to over 250,000 people across the United States. Today, Rushhi Entertainment can be proud to be the only South Asian company possessing a portfolio of events that includes festivals, competitions and Bollywood shows, including the recently-concluded A.R. Rahman shows in New York, New Jersey and Virginia.

Heritage India Festivals
Rushhi has conducted over 25 Heritage India festivals in the last nine years across eight major American cities. This event features over 150 exhibitors and vendors selling South Asian products, services and food. Live entertainment with local performers and bands add color and gaiety to this family event, which regularly attracts an average of over 10,000 patrons per weekend.
International Bhangra Championships
This competition brings together 12 top bhangra dance teams from across North America in a fast paced and electrifying environment, with prize money and reputation at stake. This event began in Washington, D.C., and moved to the Manhattan, where it was sold out to a capacity audience of 3,000 for two consecutive years.
Dance Masti
A dance competition that brings the community together with local dance schools competing for pride and prizes. This event has grown with as many as 50 teams competing over six hours to achieve the crowning glory in front of over 2,000 attendees.
Bollywood Concerts
A.R. Rahman: The Journey Home – For the first time in the history of Bollywood concerts, a single company executed three back-to-back consecutive shows over a single weekend. The concerts featured music by legendary maestro A.R. Rahman accompanied by a host of Bollywood performers, and were well-attended and collectively drew over 25,000attendees across three cities. This also marks the entry of Rushhi Entertainment into the Bollywood concert space, with more shows planned in the coming future.
